After-meal discomfort has many possible causes
Feeling overly full, bloated, nauseated, or uncomfortable after eating can happen for many reasons. Frequent or persistent symptoms deserve evaluation rather than repeated self-treatment.
AFTER-MEAL COMFORT
Use gentle ST36 acupressure — with optional PC6 in the longer practice — when you want a quiet self-care pause after eating. These routines are designed for comfort, not to diagnose or treat indigestion, bloating, constipation, reflux, or other digestive conditions.
Guided self-care with safety and location checks before the timer.

PointWell offers general self-care and educational guidance and is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or emergency medical care.
Mild, familiar discomfort after eating.
Choose medical care for severe or constant abdominal pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, repeated vomiting, vomiting blood, black or bloody stools, trouble swallowing, unexplained weight loss, jaundice, or marked abdominal swelling.
If the problem keeps returning or does not improve, consider professional evaluation rather than repeatedly using a self-care routine.
Press on the muscle beside the shinbone, not directly on the sharp edge of the bone. Use comfortable pressure rather than deep pressure.
Use firm but comfortable surface pressure; skip broken, irritated, swollen, infected skin or an IV/PICC region.
ST36 (Zusanli) has a strong traditional association with stomach and digestive concerns. PC6 (Neiguan) is traditionally used in nausea, vomiting, and stomach-related contexts. Traditional use does not establish the exact PointWell routines.
Direct manual ST36 research exists, but stronger evidence comes mainly from postoperative gastrointestinal recovery populations and outcomes are mixed. PC6 has stronger modern relevance for nausea than for general digestion. ST36 + PC6 combination research is largely postoperative and cannot validate ordinary after-meal fullness, bloating, dyspepsia, reflux, or constipation.
Supportive but population-limited
